When decreasing the amount of half treble stitches in a row, some half treble stitches will be worked together in a cl.
To make a 2htr cl:
To make a 3htr cl:
Slip Knot
1. Use a slip knot to attach the cotton to the hook. 2. Wrap the cotton over the hook (always bring the cotton up from the back and over the hook to the front). Catching the cotton with the hook, draw it through the loop. Gently pull the end of the cotton to tighten.
Chain Stitch
1. Hold the work just below the hook to keep the tension even. Wrap the cotton around the hook, then draw it through the loop. 2. One chain stitch is made. 3. Repeat to create the required number of stitches.
Slip Stitch
1. Insert the hook into the stitch. Wrap the cotton over the hook and draw it through the stitch and loop. 2. Use a slip stitch to turn a length of chain stitches into a ring. 3. Or invisibly moving short distances.
Double Crochet
1. Insert the hook into the stitch. Wrap the cotton over the hook and pull a loop through the stitch so there are two loops on the hook. 2. Wrap the cotton over the hook and catching the cotton, draw it through both loops. 3. When inserting the hook through a chain stitch, insert it through the centre of the 'V', so the top of the 'V' and small loop at the back of the stitch are on top of the hook.
Half Treble
1. Wrap the cotton over the hook and insert the hook into the stitch.
2. Wrap the cotton over the hook and pull the loop through the stitch so there are three loops on the hook.
3. Wrap the cotton over the hook and draw the cotton through all three loops.
.
Treble
3. Wrap the cotton over the hook and draw it through two loops, so two loops remain.
4. Wrap the cotton over the hook again and draw through the last two loops.
Double Treble
1. Wrap the cotton over the hook twice and insert the hook into the stitch.
2. Draw the cotton through the stitch so there are four loops on the hook.
3. Wrap the cotton over the hook and draw through two loops so there are three loops remaining on the hook.
4. Wrap the cotton over the hook and pull through two loops so there are two loops remaining on the hook.
5. Wrap the cotton over the hook and draw through the remaining two loops.
Triple Treble
1. Wrap the cotton over the hook three times and insert the hook into the stitch.
2. Draw the cotton through the stitch so there are five loops on the hook. Then, wrap the cotton around the hook and draw through two loops so there are four loops remaining.
4. Wrap the cotton over the hook and draw through another two loops so there are two loops remaining on the hook.
Treble with seed bead
1. Wrap the cotton over the hook and insert the hook into the stitch. Wrap the cotton over the hook and draw through the stitch so there are three loops on the hook. Wrap the cotton over the hook and draw through two loops.
2. Pull the seed bead up against the part of the stitch just worked. Wrap the thread over the hook and draw it through the remaining two loops on the hook.
Cluster
1. A cluster can be worked with a treble, double treble or triple treble stitch. Work the stitch so there is one loop on the hook
2. Make the next stitch, leaving one loop on the hook and repeat for the number of stitches required.
3. Wrap the cotton around the hook and pull it through all the loops.
